I'm feeling annoyed that people keep saying that artwork looks like Sonic and nothing else. Yes! I loved that franchise back in the 90s and I still love it, but there are more influence that makes my artworks special and unique. There are a lot cartoons have made a huge impact in my life. However, these kind of work are the ones that I love based on Character design, the writing, action, and/or comedy. And I'll go over them in order.

1. Sailor Moon (Naoko Takeuchi)- Honestly, I've rarely seen the series when I was a kid. The few episodes I remember is when Melvin dress up as Tuxedo Mask and the one when the Sailor Scouts were doing a Snow White play. So when I watch the series again, it's pretty cheesy as I remembered, but the character designs are so adorable, and I think half of the voice acting is so goofy, that makes it pretty funny. Sailor Moon is such a meatball head, but she's a nice, funny, loveable meatball head.

2. Ducktales/Darkwing Duck/Bonkers (Disney Afternoon)- I've never seen any of these shows when I was a kid. I've only remembered Ducktales the most because I used to rent videos of them. When I've seen most of the episodes of Ducktales, Darkwing, and Bonkers, I love theses stories. In Ducktales, I get learn more about Scrooge Mcduck, who is more likable than in the other shows and comics, and Huey, Duey, and Louie are pretty likable too. Then there's Darkwing Duck, who is a superhero with a heart that is as big as his ego, and yet little to no one give him respect. He's a goofball, but he has a potential to be a powerful guardian of St. Canard, and I get to see more Launchpad. Not to mention that some villians like the fearsome five and Steelbeak are deadly, but hilarious. Why are Duck characters are so cool? As for Bonkers, I like the character, but he can be a little over the top. I love the idea that Cartoon Characters have their own laws and abilities, and the co-exist with humans. I know that Roger Rabbit did it better, and it's true (I love that movie) but in Bonkers, we get to learn about a Toons lifestyle.

3. Pokemon (Satoshi Tajiri)- There are two big Franchises that introduce me to Video games and one of those are Pokemon. It's one of my fondest memories of Video games and yet kinda frustrating. My first game is the Red version, but somehow I couldn't finish it until I got Firered/leafgreen and Soulsilver. The first Pokemon game I actually finished is Pokemon Emerald. The Hoenn region is my Pokemon childhood and I love the Pokemon in that reigon. As for the anime, It is this show that introduce me to anime. I only watched the Indigo League one and The Hoenn Saga, which are my favorite season. Nowadays, ever since the Sinnoh saga, the shows lost its magic. I love the game for monster-collecting, the story, and maybe a few characters in there. It's one of the best franchise that Nintendo has ever made.

4. Gurren Lagann/Kill la Kill (Hiroyuki Imaishi and Kazuki Nakashima)- This is one of my first non-kids anime that I've seen when I was a teen. This is one of the awesome anime with both action-y/goofy with over-the-top action. The characters are amazing and the story is awesome and the settings are crazy. I love the art style of the characters. Several years later, when I've seen Kill la Kill, it looks like Gurren Lagann, so I thought it's good. I'm currently watching Kill la Kill and it was not good....IT WAS AWESOME!!!! It has the same action and spirit as Gurren Lagann, but it's a different story with different characters and it look like the art style still looks timeless. I love both shows for it style, animation, and the story.

5. My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic (Lauren Faust)- I'm sure you've been through this before. When you first heard of MLP reboot, you think it looks cool, but you don't want to see it because it's a show for little girls. That's how I was introduced to the show. I like the first season alright, but when season 2 shows up, it turns out to be the smartest girl show I've ever seen. Most of the characters are pretty likable, the world is magical, and the morals are pretty smart. I can see why people love this show besides the character design. However, I just don't like the way that it still tries to be like a typical dumb girl show, like let's say...Equestria Girls movies. That ticks me off, but it's Hasbro property, whaddaya gonna do?

6. Tom and Jerry (Hanna-Barbera)- Tom and Jerry are my favorite silent comedic duo. Their screams are hilarious and the animation is amazing. However, I just don't like Tom and Jerry nowadays. Though I do like half of the modern movies and the latest Tom and Jerry show. I can't understand why they don't add Willam Hanna's scream in the movies, nobody can make a perfect scream for Tom like him.

7. Max Fleischer Cartoons (Fleischer Bros.)- I think their cartoons are beginning to grow on me. I only like the Betty Boop and Bimbo cartoons, Gulliver's Travels, and Mr. Bug goes to Town. Yeah, it's as predictable as the other retro cartoons, but what makes stand out is the dark and surreal background of the cartoons unlike the Disney cartoons. I guess I like it's cartoony, yet dark perspective of the cartoons. It's almost as scary as the Don Bluth movies.

8. Looney Tunes (Warner Bros.)- I also love Looney Tunes when I was a kid. I also know that there are five legendary animators that made Looney Tunes characters, which are Tex Avery, Bob Clampett, Bob McKimson, Fritz Freleng, and Chuck Jones. However my favorite legendary animator is Chuck Jones. He knows how to blend looniness with good story. I think what make him stand out is that he made the characters funny and sympathetic to make the characters relatable to the audience. I also kinda like the way that he makes the characters cute. I also like the way the give subtle character developments to certain characters like Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck.

9. Tezuka Star System (Osamu Tezuka)- At first, I didn't like the anime because I thought it's gonna be a cheap Hanna-Barbera series, but it turns out I was wrong. Sure, that the animation looks limited, but I've never seen a kid show that not only creates anime, but it's also a kid show that tackles adult problems that we face in the world. I've seen Astro Boy (1963/2003), Kimba the White Lion (1965/1989), 13 Experimental films, and Metropolis. Most of his work is both impressive and depressing no matter how goofy look. It's ashamed that people nowadays claim they know anime, but they probably don't know who Astro Boy is. They probably can't accept the fact anime was based on several Disney and Fleischer cartoons. Tezuka is the most underrated artist and he needs more attention for creating anime.

10. Animaniacs (Warner Bros.)- At first I thought it's gonna be like Tiny Toons, which it tries to act like Looney Tunes but it doesn't feel like one. Animaniacs, however actually feels like Looney Tunes in the 90's. Most of the people gained control to make a mini series for the show with lots of likable characters, and the jokes are smart and hilarious, and they tackle all types of Comedy. I'm also surprised that it's a kid show that feels like an adult show. My favorite characters in Animaniacs are the Warners siblings, The Goodfeathers, Rita and Runt, and Slappy and Skippy. It almost feel like a sister franchise for the Looney Tunes. This is one of the best kids shows in the 90s.

11. SONIC the Hedgehog (Naoto Ohshima)- If you follow my artwork by now, you know I love Sonic games a lot. Let's make it short. I love the franchise because it's a video game about a cartoon character who is a hero and most of his adventures are amazing. I'm jealous that I haven't created him. I'm aware that SEGA and the whole world is treating him poorly right now. I wish either a new group of people make a better Sonic game or I can do it myself. End of Story.

12. Woody Woodpecker (Walter Lantz)- I also love the Woody Woodpecker cartoons. Not only he's a screwball, but he's insane. He not only stands out against enemies, but he also scares them, eats them, or blow them up. He's so dangerous that he makes Tom and Jerry and Bugs Bunny merciful. For some reason my designs kinda look similar to Walter Lantz

13. Walt Disney- (Walt Disney)- 90% of the world know how Disney is awesome. Most of the stories, animation, and games are amazing. We all agree that Disney also done stupid stuff too. Honestly, I love his Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit cartoon shorts, Most of the Disney Animation Cannon, The Kingdom Hearts games, and The Epic Mickey. For some reason Disney tries to tackle all types of art all over the world. I wonder what art medium Disney will tackle next. I was mostly influenced by the rubberhose style, cutsey animals, action movies, but there's no way anybody can copy the Same magic that Disney ever made.
